First Academic Class for new students at the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje
In the crowded amphitheater at the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, on the 16th of this month, the first academic class was held for the newly enrolled students of the University, officially marking the beginning of the academic 2013/14 year. Apart from the future academic citizens that have decided to continue their education on one of the seven faculties at the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, on the ceremony attended prominent figures from the public and cultural life of the Republic of Macedonia. The students and the guests were welcomed by the Rector of the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, prof. dr. Ace Milenkovski. He wished a warm welcome to the new students, as he said in the temple of knowledge, while the members of the Advisory Board, thanked them for their selfless efforts so far to improve the performance of the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje.
Elaborating the work system of the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, the Rector Ace Milenkovski, emphasized that the methods of work and study make this University to be not only the best but also special, because the diplomas gained at this University are recognized all over Europe and the world. Many examples of graduates that are working in prestigious institutions around the world prove the previously mentioned facts by the Rector. He also said in order all of this to be achieved it is necessary not only the knowledge that students receive from the professors at the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, but the practice for several years now to send the students on internship in prestigious hotels in Turkey and Greece.
This to be even more successful the Rector prof. dr. Ace Milenkovski selflessly contributes the University’s membership in the World Tourism Organization, through which this institution as well as the students have the opportunity to be in touch with the latest developments and trends in tourism worldwide.
